"Rum is good, but I like Vodka and Slavonic Firewhiskey." Heath muttered, thinking about all that he had witnessed at those parties. Hormonies teeneragers weren't at all clean, and there was a reason the parties were only for fifth years and higher. Wouldn't want to emotionally scare any of the younger students. He smiled down at her as she talked about her grandfather. His grandfather had died three years back, and he really didn't know anyone from his father's side. He had never actually met his father either, so it wasn't as if he felt like he was missing some. Can't miss something you never had. "You have a different reaction when your in different moods?" Heath stated in more of a question than a real statement. He smiled at her. "That's to be expected."
"How about this, I'm not going to let you fall." He said, his fingers curling against her side. "Or if you did, I'd swing us around so that you'd land on me." He wouldn't mind her landing on him. He had taken hits before, so the ground against his back wouldn't be that much of an issue. If it did happen though, he was sure he would have the urge to kissing her lovely pink lips. He laughed as she spoke about swaying. Anyone could sway back and forth, it's true, but he just might add a bit more to keep her on the edge. "My day was rather dull actually. After my classes were done, I went to the greenhouses to check on some plants I was allowed to plant or replant there. For experimental purposes of course. Did you know that muggles have found ways to mix different plants to create a new plant? I've decided to try that with magical plants, I'm just waiting on the results now. How about you?"

"Hmm... maybe some day you can get me to try those drinks out." She whispered back, smiling daintily. She again smiled deeply as a smile touched his lips. "Yeah, but I'm not Bi-polar. I'm just... odd." She said shrugging her shoulders lightly. And a soft giggle left her as she nodded. "Yes, true, true." She didn't know for sure if he was telling the truth about her falling, but she nodded, trusting Grey as best as she could. She felt his fingers curl on her side and she leaned in slightly. And she chuckled. "Maybe I should fall..." She said, aloud, although she wish she hadn't. Horror came upon her face as she blushed a bright pink. "I said that out loud didn't I." Her eyes turning away from the Grey. She smiled, though, shyly, as he laughed at her statement. She bite her lip gently as she listen to how his day went. Perfect.
Chuckling softly, She leaned in more, and sighed. "Well I'm sorry for you dull day, mine didn't go in a big bang either." She stopped and studied Grey in front of her. "Well lets see Grey, I woke up, had a shower, eat breakfast, brushed my teeth, went to classes - I love Potions! - and after that I studied until I was dragged! And I mean dragged, into my house's common room and was told, no ordered to get ready." She smiled gently and looked away. "Actually I did know about the muggle way of life, since.. I'm... eh... a muggle-born... although I don't know much. My.. eh... Grandmother loved plants, and she has native North American blood in her, so she knows some native ways, from like, back in the early 1800." She said, slowly lowering her eyes. Than she lifted her eyes and they sparkled. "So you like working in the greenhouse? That's so cool, maybe some other day you can show me these plants! I mean, It would be soo cool, cause if you prove that muggle plants and magical plants can be mixed together with the same type, -magical with magical and muggle with muggle- maybe you can get muggle and magical plants to mix together to get some kind of substance!" She jumped a little in happiness and tripped, falling into him slightly. "Oops." She whispered.

"There is some up at the after party is you really wish to try some. I bought it myself since I wanted this year to be better than the rest. So far, this year is much better." He smirked and dipped her, making sure she didn't fall and grinning when he pulled her back up against him. "Odd isn't always a bad thing you know." He whispered, leaning his head down so his lips were only inches from her ear. He chuckled softly and leaned back. "Everyone is odd, just some not in the same ways as others. Some are more...hidden." He grinned as he heard her talk about falling on purpose, just so he would save her. Raising an eyebrow, he smirked. "Said what out loud?"
He watched her study him, her blue eyes the same a clear day in the summer. He pretended to be interested about her brushing her teeth and going to classes. Everyone did that, was it really needed to add to this? Then again, girls like to talk and it was just a lot easier to let them do it. He smiled as she talked about being dragged to get ready. "Remind me to thank them then." He said, pulling her hips closer to his, smirking at her. "Is there something wrong with being a muggleborn?" Heath asked, his eyebrows scrunching into confusion. It was better than having a murderer and rapist as a father. In his book, it was much better. "Plants grow all around us, they give us oxygen and food. I respect your grandmother." If only she could have been a witch, then he could really speak to her about magical plants. The Native American witches and wizards were really good with herbology, in fact most of the books were written by them and their research. "Maybe I will show you sometime." If you learn about what my father did and not go running from me that is. He smiled down at her as she tripped, pulling her even tighter against him. "Careful." He said, licking his lips as he was once again drawn to kiss her.

Smiling she felt herself dip and she smiled. "Oh yes, that will be delightful." She added, and shivered slightly as he leaned in near her ear. She could feel his breath on her ear, and she smiled. "Odd, is good..." She heard him chuckle and she smiled deeply. "Hidden... hmm." She whispered as he grinned. She blushed madly, again, and smiled. "Oh nothing." She said rolling her eyes gently. Letting the time pass, she shivered, and looked down at her shoe for a moment. Wanting nothing more than to reach down and grasp her wand, and use a heating spell. She blushed deeper as he comment. "Well, After the dance, I'll give you the names." She winked and felt herself go closer to him. "Oh no, I mean, I know the Dark Lord died out a long time ago, but some people are so stupid, they still like to think themselves better." She said, blinking softly as she blinked away a small stray tear. She nodded and smiled, "Well I'll owl her saying she's got a secret admirer." She smiled softly, and nodded. She than smiled deeper and gave a small happy, and yet silent shriek. "Yes." She said happily.
She smiled deeply, and when he caught her she grasped. Her eyes widen in shock as he licked his lips. She smiled. Biting her lower lip again, as she looked up at him. Her small size of 5'6, made her small compared to the man in front of her. "I'm just noticing your too tall." She laughed gently, and stretched upwards towards him and gently, with out getting his mask, kissed his chin. "Thanks, for at least talking to me. I mean, I'm annoying and well out of it sometimes..." She stopped and looked at him gently. She pressed against Grey's body and sighed. "Well at least, tonight I meet some one awesome." She stopped swaying to poke his chest gently with her arm that was around his neck. Her eyes sparkled. "I actually came to a dance, wore a strapless dress. My mother would be proud." She rolled her eyes gently and looked up at the man, and sighed deeply. "I can't wait till midnight." She said softly, bring her leg up so she could snatch her wand. Flicking her wrist she looked at her wand, which had four numbers glowing. She screwed her eyes up only to find that the numbers were un-readable. "Damn..." She groaned, and whispered a small heating spell on herself, she sighed softly. Putting the wand back in her sock and shoe, she smiled. "Ha, last place someone would more in likely think your wand is hidden, I mean, who would put their wand in their shoe when it's very far from your hands." She chuckled. "Well Other than me." She shrugged, she never left her wand behind.

He smiled as he watched her enjoy the dip. It was a rush for the females, or so his mom had told him. It was like the trust exorcise, they fall back and it was up to him to catch them and bring them back up. "I'll make sure you get some then." Heath murmured, using his thumb to a small circle against her back as they swayed. "Indeed, odd makes the world go around, and make things a lot more entertaining. If everyone is normal the normal people wouldn't have anything to gossip about." He pulled her up tightly against him as he spun around, lifting her up off the ground so she didn't have anything to trip over. Setting her back on the ground, he grinned at her. "Yup, hidden. They act ashamed of their interests and nature, shaping them to be what the world thinks is cool. It's actually quite sick." He slid his hand down just a bit, not quite touching her rear but lower than his hand had been when they first started. "Why after? It's not as if I'll recognize who any of them are or even if I did know the name I couldn't find them till after midnight." He shrugged as if it barely mattered, and in truth it did. It was just something to say to here. Maybe he would compliment them, but then again maybe not. "Hmmm wonder what she would think knowing that a wizard admired her... Or does she not know?"Some people had gone to tell their entire family so the ministry had to watch all of them just to make sure that they weren't completely exposed.
He looked down at her bitten lip, eyes staying on the stop where her teeth were pressing against her pink lips, causing it to plump up just a bit. Swallowing, he looked back at her eyes and winked. So what, he could be reckless tonight. The mask opened the doors to so many things. He chuckled at her at her comment of being tall, or too tall as she said. At least he had grown into his height. Fifth year had been dreadful because he had been gangly. When she kissed his chin, he simply couldn't help himself any longer. With her lips still puckered against his chin, he moved so his lips covered her gently. He raised an eyebrow at her when she talked about being annoying. "I don't think your annoying, and you certainly seem into it..." Pun was intended there, for he meant mentally and into the dancing, or was she just into him? "I'm not all that awesome," Heath said with a sigh, looking down at the finger currently poking his chest. He laughed softly, the laugh not coming out of his mouth but certainly making it half way up his throat. "Not everything is impossible." He whispered to her, eyes looking her over one more time. "Though I don't know why your mother would insist upon you those things. I've seen quite a few guys looking you over while we were dancing and I think there were some stares since you've come inside. Does your mother want you to get ravished?" He was only kidding about the ravishing, but there actually were some guys staring at her. He held her possessively against him, forcing himself not to look around once more to see them. He smiled at the comment of midnight, and he couldn't believe that he mirrored her sentiment. He wondered who this girl really was. He raised an eyebrow at her as she lifted her leg, watching curiously as she pulled out her wand. "Cold?" he asked, eyebrows coming close together again. "You should have told me." He whispered, muttering something unintelligent under his breath. He had never been good with being suave or things like that, but at least he had tried extra hard tonight. He should have seen she had been cold. "Some put a strap on their thight, and I prefer shrinking mine to put it in my pocket for easy access. I know one wandless spell, and that's accio for obvious reasons." Otherwise he would have needed many new wands....

Jordan looked at Grey and her eyes brighten gently. "Thanks" She whispered to his, could you say promise, to get her a drink. She felt so light, like a feather, in his grasp, and she gave way from her normal shy self, only for tonight. "I love hearing the rumors going around, although their hurtful, by golly their funny!" She said shifting a giggle. "I mean, I don't judge people based on rumors, I just laugh them off, even if their about me." She rolled her eyes, and gasped a little when she was lifted off the ground. She chuckled. "Well, I can agree on it being wrong that people shape themselves, but sometimes, it's just the wrong timing, and the pain of being left out that makes the person do it." She sighed softly, thinking back to her long lost friendship with her muggle friend, Mark. "Oh well, okay you got a point, lets see (random names v.v) there is May Goldburg, and Alice Roberts... and, I believe his name was Dennis Blake, I do believe." She shrugged. "They think I'm to up-tight and need to let lose my wild side." She shrugged, looking up at Grey. She smiled gently and rolled her eyes, "My grandma would go flipping crazy, she'd ask me all these insane questions, and believe me, she can get your darkest secret out of yeah, even if you tried to avoid it." She whispered closing her eyes. "I took a cookie from the cookie jar when I was five, and refused to say I did for three days, but my grandmother was asking me random questions and soon I was stuck in a knot." She shivered. "Still hate the taste of soap." She closed her eyes and leaned in to him.
Jordan smiled against his lips. It was over to soon for her, and her own stupidity could of sent the man, she had to call Grey, running away. She smirked and rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh yes, I'm silently annoying when it comes to questions in class. And about me being into it... I think it works both ways, don't you think." She stuck out her tongue in a very child-ish sort of matter. Than she heard him and gasped. "Yes you are, and if you don't agree, I'm going to poke you, until you do, and I will that until you agree, so this could be a week, I'll have to get a lot of coffee." She smirked, her eyes playfully looking at him. When he commented on that she couldn't help herself and indeed notice a few male heads turned her way. She felt him hold her again, she sighed in a happy tone and stuck her tongue out at the others watching, "My mother would be proud of the dress, I mean, my older sisters are dress freaks, and god, thank heavens for a older brother who taught me that make-up and shit is horrible." She sighed in relief once she was warm, "Oh sorry... I'm just used to being by myself." She smirked. "I can take the heating charm off, and tell you I'm cold." She smiled, than smirked, and than giggled. "A strap... oh god, didn't need that image." She said closing her eyes and placing her fore-head into Grey's chest. "Well..." She began, thinking about the rest, "I see your point on the shrinking, and lucky you, you know a wand-less magic... want-a share, cause I can't get a grasp on how to work wand less magic..." She groaned. "Jeez, at least I'm good at Potions, and thank gods I made some hang over potion... people here are going to need it if they have after parties."
She turned her head away from Grey, and looked at the refreshment table, and narrowed her eyes. Turning back to Grey, she smiled, and looked up at him. "I have one request..." She whispered her arm around his neck again, her eyes soft, "When we take our masks off, I want you to at least, know, that well... I'm... not... urge how do I put it right." She closed her eyes and sighed. "I, as in my old ex-best friend, made me like I am okay, which ends up as me... not liking the way.. eh... I look... so don't laugh okay." She stuck her tongue out and smiled. "And plus, I bet we have classes together and don't know it, so the person who see behind the mask, is the person that's been driven into a mask, she shows everyday... by a lot of people." She looked away, lowering her head, waiting for him to reply.
(Doesn't make much sense... sorry I did my best, and it's hard to keep her character and make her a little free, since she can be.)

"You're very welcome." Heath murmured, pulling her more solidly against him. She was truly different from others girls who had come to talk to him. The few that did were aggressive and b*tchy, truth be told. They wanted complete control of him, and he didn't want that. He couldn't be controlled. All the others were simply to afraid to come up and talk to him. He certainly didn't regret coming to the dance now. It was amazing what a simple mask could do. Heath looked away as she talked about rumors. "Rumors, even if they are funny, can hurt you more than any hex can if used in the wrong way." He looked back at her and smiled. Maybe she wasn't like them at all. "I don't believe any of the rumors I hear." He answered, though in truth he didn't hear too many rumors. For that, you needed friends. Did he have any? No.
Heath shrugged and looked down at her. "I don't care what anyone says to me, nothing they can say can make me change who I am. I suppose I could see your way of thinking, but it still doesn't mean I like it." You can understand something and it didn't make anything better. In fact, it made it worse because people used that to their advantages. His mother had gotten hurt that way, and so he would protect anyone and everyone he could from such a fate as that. In truth, who wanted a bastard son?
"Introduce me when masks come off." He said, smiling down at her. He looked her over again. He would certainly be giving them a word of thanks when this was all over. Perhaps invite them to the after party if they hadn't already been invited. Not that you really got invited but you came if you knew. They hadn't really been caught in the room before, just going back to the dorms in the wee hours of the morning. "I don't think your up-tight." He said, smiling at her. She didn't seem uptight to him, but masks let you see the person underneath.
Heath grinned and looked at her. "I'm really good at keeping secrets, so she has to be good to even get a peep out of me. Though, I doubt it. I'm fairly good at coming up with stories that can't be broken through. It seems the only way I'm entertaining to people actually. Your grandmother sounds respectable and a very intriguing woman indeed. How much does she know about the ancient ways of her ancestors?" He had questions of his own to ask her, so perhaps they could trade information. It was better than simply fighting.
Heath laughed as she stuck out her tongue, eyes darkening as he smirked at her. "I would say I'm very into it, and still don't think your annoying. I'd like to have proof of this." He said, making sure they swayed in tune with the music that seemed to go on and on. He didn't mind, more time with Dove and her insatiable curiosity. It kept the conversation going and intrigued him, so who was he to complain. It was better than just dancing awkwardly trying to come up with something to say about the decorations or the weather. That was annoying.
Heath laughed and shook his head. "Just because I say it doesn't mean it's true." He whispered, his head once again leaning forward to whisper in her ear. "Though if you want to hear the words, I suppose you will hear them." He breathed into her ear, taking a deep breath before saying what she wanted to hear. "I'm awesome only because one of the most beautiful women in the room says I am." He said, tightening his hold on her with a grin. He hoped she took his compliment well.
"Dress freaks?" Heath echoed with a raised eyebrow. He had never heard the term before. He had a few half siblings around but he didn't really know who they were. He didn't talk to them over much, and wasn't even sure how many half siblings he had. "I think you look ravishing, though jeans have their good charms. I get to see a woman's legs and there are shirts that are just as complimentary as dresses can be." He had taken notice of this, only because it's what he liked. Fancy dresses weren't his type.
Heath chuckled and shook his head. "It's fine, I just wish I would have noticed. You're the first girl I've really taken an interest in. I'm not really that...well I don't notice some of the little stuff." He said, looking at the gardens. He had to show her some of the things he had helped plant outside to make the night special. He had grown some of them himself since they had been seedlings. He would have taken his jacket off and put it on her shoulders, thinking in more gentlemanly terms than magical.
Hang overs. Oh how he hated them. "Indeed, it is great to have a hang over potion. I believe the Slytherins have their own brew in the common room that they use, but I'm not sure about that. Who knows, I certainly haven't been down there. I'm a hufflepuff, by the way." Heath said, watching her curiously as she put her head against his chest. His heart sped up a bit, having her even closer but not as close as when he kissed her. He wondered if she could hear his heart.
"You're your ex best friend?" Heath said in confusion, tilting his head to the side. He didn't understand her. He was so confused with all she was trying to say. "I'm sure you won't be hideous, if that's what your asking. I don't think you could change your appearance that much with any charm unless you used a poly juice potions..did you?" In truth, he would keep her as a friend no matter what she looked like. As long as she didn't freak out when she figured who he was, she could be part troll for all he cared.

Victorie gave a half smile and then spoke, "Yes, I am also waiting to meet someone. I do intend to find him, but sadly we cannot kiss under the fireworks. Danger ensues where dangers follows." She spoke in a bit of a riddle and sighed gently. She looked out the windows where the fireworks would rise in less than an hour. She took a deep breath and rubbed at her heart a bit. She wondered once again where Teddy was.

She let the smile cross her face and she relaxed against him. She watched him play out and as he began to talk she frowned. "Well just so you know, they do hurt, I've had my fair share... mostly back in Muggle Land." She rolled her eyes. "I mean Muggle London, all I got from the girls their were 'freak' or 'nerd'." She shrugged, not really caring, she gave up that part of her life. She smiled again and sighed in relief. "Thank god, someone who doesn't go jumping around believing a silly rumor." She smiled brighter and leaned forward slightly. She watched him shrug, and look down at her. She shivered under his eyes. "Well, everyone is open to their ideas, and questionings." She simply stated as she blinked the thought of her uncle away. "My Uncle had to shape himself slightly, because I was his student in Muggle School..." She sighed with no emotion. "He was a arse." She added, smirking in joy.
Her eyes widen happily as he smiled at her. "Okay." She said, enjoyment in her tone. Her nose wiggling as he watched her again. She sighed happily. "Ha, you'd be in my grandmother's eye-sight for a moment, and she be calling you grandson in a second. I can't lie worth my school work! And dear lord, my grandmother needs to teach someone her tricks." She rolled her eyes playfully, and nodded. "Yeah she is respectable, only reason my grandpa is still alive today." She shivered, her eyes widen in silent fear of her grandfather dying. "Okay so her ways of the gardren. It goes back pretty far, she made this really taste-ful herb soup when I was sick once, and I was better with in a day. She sometimes uses plants to take the soreness out of muscles and such." She smirked dangerously, as he, yet again, said she wasn't annoying. "Well am I annoying you now, by saying I'm annoying." She wanted to stick her tongue out, but didn't.
She smirked as he fell into her fun trap. "Yay." She said happily, as he leaned down and she blushed beyond belief. She wiggled in his arms and smiled shyly. "Fine if I have to be beautiful, you have to be handsome." She raised a eye-brow, cocked. Her nose wiggling again, and she lowered her head to her shoulder and sneezed. "Yes dress freaks. They wear dresses and twirl, and think they're queen like." Her eyes narrowed in disgusted at the idea. She flushed at his next statement, "Thanks, never get to many compliments about myself. And those shirts are just begging a girl to wear so a guy can get the idea of that the girl wants him in her pants." She complained and rolled her eyes. "But hell, those darn low cut shirts are hot." She winked at Grey and nodded gently. Than after the small nod she went beat red. "Oh... eh...umm..." She smiled shyly, her eyes sparkling, although she was still in slight shock. "Geez, man, your the first to say it again, hmm, I'm going-a get you a medal that says 'First to Say Stuff To....'" She stopped and blinked. "Me!" She added, jumping slightly at her name.
"Damn Slytherins!" She spat angrily. "What I wouldn't do for my own lab." She shook and swore she sneak into the slytherin's comman room even if it was the last thing she did. Jordan listened and than a bright color of red followed on to her cheeks. "Well.. em... I'm... eh... a Ravenclaw. I love the color blue too." She winked, and taking her arm that was wrapped around Grey she waved it over her body. "As you can clearly see from the colors I'm wearing." She winked again. "Although yellow is pretty close, reminds me of the beautiful... warm sun." She sighed happily. She could hear the faint trace of his heart, still in her ear, from where she had placed her head. She smiled. "Yeah, I'm my ex-best friend. I mean, I and my mother thought I went insane one year, I talked to myself, and well, lets just say my arse of a friend named Mark thought it be cool if he date me and than dump me and shit, so yeah." Her eyes closed for a brief moment of pain. She chuckled, "I don't use poly juice, it's wrong to hide yourself. But in truth, this ball changes stuff about you, but, I still have my normal eye color, pale blue, and I still have normal hair color, although it's changed in a way, longer I think." She wasn't going to call it straight, since it would give her away. "OKAY!" She said softly, as she heard the music die away. "So do you like Quidditch?" She asked, her eyes watching his for a moment. "I mean, do you love the game, how you can fly on your broom and feel like a feather in the wind?" She asked, thinking of a small little golden ball.

Teddy sighed. He felt bad for this girl. Just another couple that have to hide their love because of this war, he thought. He gave a half-smile back to Molly and shrugged. "I wish I could kiss my girl, but like you and yours, our lives are wrought with danger as well." He leaned back and crossed his legs. "So, are you a teacher or a member of the Order then? I'm both," he added. Maybe it was a bit much, but surely there were no Death Eaters here tonight? He wished midnight would hurry up and get here so he could find Victorie.

Scorpius thanked the girl as she told him he didn't do so bad himself. She was a divine dancer, but he'd feel a lot better if he could have Rose in his arms. He looked at his watch. It was 11:30pm. Half an hour until the fireworks began. He stated so out loud and added, "So, you can call me Cygnus. What can I can call you? Not your real name though." he sat down and picked up his cup of butterbeer, draining it and refiling it with the surely now-spiked pumpkin juice.

Heath looked down at her, eyes trained on her and sometimes slipping to look down at her lips. "Rumors can only hurt you if you let them. Do you let others shape who you are, or are you going to live your life the way you think it should. Help those who need help, regardless of what others say about the other person?" Heath said, looking away at the band who was currently playing. He didn't pay attention to what's hot and what's not, but it didn't even matter. He hadn't caught the band's name anyway. He did think that he saw some of the professor's dancing together, or at least he thought they were professor's considering they had gray hair. He smiled down at her. "Some family members who are also teacher's tend to be, actually they also tend to be harder on their family."
Heath smiled at the thought. "That wouldn't be so bad." He didn't have a close relationship with his grandparents, only his mother's side and they had rejected his mother and him. He would relish the companionship of such a woman. She would have been the grandmother he had wished for. "Sometimes that's a good thing." He said, mentioning the fact she couldn't lie. He could see the truth when he talked to her. That was good and bad, because that means he could tell when he lied to her and know he couldn't trust he, or he could see she was telling the truth and trust her. He hoped he could trust her, would be a real pity if she turned out like all the others. "A little..." Heath admitted.
Heath sighed and shook his head. "I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder." He tilted his head as he listened to her explanation of these 'dress freaks'. "A true leader, or queen as they say it, is a person who knows how to be a follower. They look at others and sees what they need before even considering what they need or want. " Dressing and twirling, apparently it wasn't just because he was male that he thought that could be boring and a waste of a good lunch." Continuing to listen to her babble, Heath was glad he didn't have to talk too much. With most girls who never did, which wasn't always a bad thing. Now if your trying to do something and the girl just won't shut up, then she's begging to be hexed. "So you don't like tight clothing, but you think low cut clothing is 'hot'." Heath asked, raising an eyebrow at her logic. "At least when it's tight, it's covered. You were low cut and your packages are about to jump out of your shirt." Heath raised an eyebrow at the medal. "I currently have no idea what your talking about..."
Heath chuckled and smirked down at her. "Well, I'm sure you can, but only when you graduate. You can get your own place, put in a basement, do the proper protection spells and there you have it. Your own lab. Either that or you could become a Potion's professor here at Hogwarts or another school." Interesting, to be in Ravenclaw you have to be pretty smart and willing to learn all you can. She would be an interesting partner for one of his lessons. "I suppose, but some thing that just because I'm a hufflepuff instead of the brave Gryffindor or the sneaky Slytherin that they can push me around. It's rather demeaning." Heath listened to the girl talk about her past, raising an eyebrow at the talking to herself issue. "I suppose there's no better person to listen to yourself rant that yourself. Sometimes things don't always sound right in your head and once you get it out you can see what's wrong with what you just said." He hugged her against him when he told her she was dumped, laying his head against the top of hers as they swayed. He smiled as the song ended and he pulled her aside. Bloody song couldn't last any longer... He looked at her as she described herself, shrugging. "I don't pay attention to most of the people around me. Only if I think they are up to no good, do I actually see what's going on." He shrugged at her comment on Quidditch. He loved Quidditch in truth, his way of actually being part of something bigger than himself. He loved the thrill of how his team depended on him to keep those bludgers away. "I play on the team actually. Just some no body that no one really knows but really depends on."

"Call me Jean." Rose said, thinking of her inherited middle name. Her mother's name was also Jean, and the first girl in every generation has always had the middle name Jean. It was rather interesting that you would always know someone else' middle name if you were to go study your family tree like Scorpius did...which brought her back to Scorpius Malfoy. Was it just her or did her thoughts just always end up with her thinking about Scorpius?
"So Cygnus," Rose said, picking up her own butterbear as she looked proudly at the decorations surrounding them. "Do you think the students will be throwing their after party?" Rose asked, thinking about the famous afterparty that everyone was always talking about behind the professor's back. She had never been to one. "I wonder if they'll do the same thing they did last time..." She tried to pass it off as if she's been there before, but all she had to go on was the things she heard whispered to when students tried to send notes to each other.

Victorie nodded as she spoke, "I am also both. It is a hard trench to keep up with sadly love is a fearful thing." She looked to the man and wondered who he was. She sighed as she looked to her own lap and thenshook her head as she spoke, "The clock seems to tick slower and slower with each passing moment."

Scorpius nodded. "Jean. What a pretty name," he said. He thought of his great-grandfather on his mother's side, whose name was Cygnus. That was interesting how the males were named after each other's first names and made into middle names. Like, his grandfather was Lucius Abraxas, then his father was Draco Lucius, and he was Scorpius Draco. His son would have his name as his middle name as well, he supposed.
He wondered if Rose's family did the same thing. They were half-blood, but her father was a pure-blood, so maybe. But then, her family wasn't exactly the traditional pure-bloods, so maybe not. And how was it that his thoughts kept coming back to Rose? Couldn't he go one night without thinking of her? I'm definitely in love, Scorpius mused.
Aloud, he said, "I really don't know, Jean. I've never been to one," he admitted. He flushed behind his mask. That had sounded pretty dumb, but then, the Ball was anonymous, and nobody knew who he really was. For the first time tonight, Scorpius was grateful for that. If Rose had heard him say that, she'd probably be laughing her ass off at him. "So, how are they? Is it any good?" he inquired.
