Things were changing. Victorie and Teddy's plans changed, so the idea of making Rose and Scorpius Secret Keepers was an obsolete one. Victorie wasn't teaching at Hogwarts anymore. She'd quit a few months ago and her baby belly was becoming more and more prominet. She and Teddy had a small wedding which was only her, him, and the minister. It was all they had to do to make it offical. Since then they had bought the house and she'd began decorating it in her spare time from work and flying around like a mad woman on reffing. They had talked about putting her in with the Ministy in the Magical Games Dept. so that she'd not be in as much harm since she was pregnant. It seemed like a good idea from all points of view.
Victorie had owled Scorpius and Rose to tell them to meet her in the Hog's head. She was cloathed in a dark black robe and the hood was pulled over her vibrant pink and blonde hair. It was noticeable, and Victorie did not want to put Scorpius and Rose in danger because she was speaking with them. Her undercover had already began. The Dark Lord had seen and approved of her in thier home. She was a supporter, but she did not have to retain the mark. All support was to him, and Victorie had to keep that front...and associating with Rose and Scorpius was not a good way to do such.
Victorie continued to sip on her water as she waited on the two. She must speak with them. She must apologize for not speaking to them thus far.

Rosetta had left Scorpius after their last class to go get her wallet, murmuring a 'meet you later' to him. If they both approached Hog's Head at the same time, it was sure to draw attention. She was running low on ink so she had decided to multitask this visit. She was excited to see her cousin, and she found a grin plastered on her face that she had to remember to hide before getting to Hogsmeade. Then again, perhaps to the other students they truly thought that she would be overjoyed to go buy some new ink. There were many out now, in different colors, colors that changed, colors that popped out of the parchment, it was difficult to choose which one she wanted.
It didn't take long for Rose to mutter the password softly, run up to her room, say another password, then go back down again then start the climb back down. She had heard of a fantastic invention the muggles had made. An elevator. Perhaps Hogwarts should look into the idea. It was no wonder Rose stayed in shape, she was constantly running here and there in a giant castle. She nearly got herself lost, loosing her footing and stepping on the wrong step. It only took her longer to reroute and exit the castle. Rose couldn't feel the chill in the air, almost ready to work up a light sweat as she strode purposefully forward towards the direction she knew to be the way to Hogsmeade. Most of the students had already made it there, but some seemed sluggish and she passed them by. By the time she finally got to Hogsmeade, there was no need to hide a grin.
Her lips pressed in a thin line, she hoped she wasn't too obvious. She was wearing black corduroy pants, a dark gray short sleeved shirt, and her red hair was pulled back into a braid with a black cap on top. She really did like muggle clothes better than wizardry. Rose walked along with the crowd, doing her best to slide around the back of Hog's Head before entering. She pulled her cap down to shadow her eyes more and looked over the small grouping. She still though Three Broomsticks was better. Everyone was talking loud so you barely heard your own conversation, no one could overhear. As if by random, she walked slowly and almost reluctantly over to the black robed....person. She wasn't sure if this was Vicki or not, but either way she sat down and nodded her head a bit. "Mind if I sit here?" She asked, still being polite.

Scorpius had nodded to Rose after their last class, muttering, “See you later,” to her. He had run upstairs to the dorm they shared and said the password, first looking around to make sure no one was around to overhear. Quickly reaching the top of the stairs, he said his password to get in. “Rose,” he said, speaking clearly. Pressing the Slytherin crest, the door swung open, and he shed his school robes and uniform after closing the door.
Getting dressed quickly, he stopped by his mirror to make sure nothing was on inside out or anything like that. Grabbing his wallet, he placed it into his left pocket. Stepping outside the room, he pulled out his wand to lock the door and put his wand in his other pocket. Then Scorpius ran down the steps, slipping and falling to his knees at the bottom of the stairs.
Scorpius sometimes missed the Slytherin dungeons, sharing a dorm with other boys and just having guy talk. But he knew that to be Head Boy was a great honor, and he got to be near Rose besides. Really, when one was in Slytherin, you could grow fat and lazy if you weren’t careful, he thought. Being near the kitchens, not having to go up and down a million stairs...’twas paradise. Well, except for the dungeons leaking in the winter. Besides Quidditch, running about the castle was just another reason he stayed in shape. And Malfoy Manor wasn't excatly small, either,
He briskly walked out of Hogwarts, glad he was wearing jacket. While he loved his Wizarding clothes, they could be a royal pain sometimes. For Hogsmeade visits, he much preferred Muggle clothing. Today, he wore black trainers with laces charmed to match his pants, fairly tight faded blue jeans, a plain light gray short sleeved shirt, and a dark green hoodie with a black dragon in flight across the front of it and one scrolling down his left arm. Scorpius smiled to himself. He had a duty to always look good. Reputations didn’t uphold themselves, after all.
Scorpius had things to do today, but first he would meet with Professor Weasley and Rosetta. Making sure his wallet and wand were still in place, he opened the door to the Hog’s head and wrinkled his nose in disgust. A Malfoy should never degrade himself to be seen here, but what his lady wanted, she would get. Today, he would begin to court her.
Spotting a redhead, he walked over to her, only to find it wasn’t Rose. Then he heard her voice and strolled over, looking casual. “Hey Rose, who’s your friend?” he inquired. Turning to the stranger, he asked politely, “Mind if I sit here? It’s a bit crowded…” Scorpius let his voice trail off, and waited for one or both of them to speak.

Victorie heard the voice and grinned a bit as she spoke, "You may." She said nothign else as she took a sip of her drink. She then continued, "We will wait for our other part to arrive." Victorie stayed in her silent thought as she waited. When Scorpius came she took a deep breath, "Sit." She felt like she'd almost hissed the words. She then looked up and took a deep breath to apologize. It was this whole baby thing. She was moody lately. She was in her fourth month and second trimester and the baby was very active rolling about lately.
Victorie took a deep breath as she continued, "The secret keeping has been decided it won't be needed." She looked up with sorrow in her eyes as she spoke, "You cannot be seen with me. I am a spy and sole supporter for the Dark Lord. All ties must be cut as much as I hate to say it." She closed her eyes and then took a deep breath as she laid her hand on her stomach and continued, "We decided that it is best for our daughter. We need to be specially careful so that she can live and not be killed. To not take chances with anyone's life." Victorie could feel the fear in her own voice as she spoke. IT was scary, but it was their life - She knew she had to do it.

Rosetta kept her face down, and when when Scorpius said her name it feel a little lower. "We're not supposed to say names." She whispered to Scorpius, wincing as words were hissed at him. She didn't like that one bit, but knew her cousin was having mood swings. She knew a lot of pregnancy, having helped her mom out when she was carrying Hugo inside her. In all honesty, Rose had been hoping for a sister, but didn't ever girl? She hadn't minded Hugo at first, but after a while the boy was starting to come out in him. He hadn't wanted to play with his sister, and he acted just so much like a trouble maker...
Rose' eyes snapped up and she shook her head. "I still think it's an extra precaution that should be used." Rose said lowly, now glaring into the wood of the table. Her voice got softer so she hoped that no one would hear. "Please let me help my family, V....I want to help my little niece if it's possible." Her heart seemed to pound a little harder now, wondering why the change of heart. She wanted to help, do all she could for Victorie and her troubles. "Please reconsider. I want to know that when your asleep, you'll be safe."

Victorie felt ill at ease even with them all sitting at the same table. There was so much risk. Victorie jsut hoped no one would recognize her. She took a deep breath as she tried to relax the moving child inside her by rubbing her hand over her small baby bump. Her daughter was moving and rolling inside her very actively today. Victorie was unsure if her own nerves were making the child so active. This was so dangerous, and if anyone saw them Scorpius and Rose were in such danger. Vic heard Rose's plea and had to close her eyes to not see the pain in her cousin's voice.
Victorie took a deep breath as she looked to Rose with pain in her eyes as she spoke, "She'll be your second cousin, silly." She was trying to lighten the mood, but she could see by their faces that it was a foolish attempt. She continued to rub a hand over her bump as she spoke, "It is too high of a risk. If we have you two do this, then the Dark Lord will know that we are trying to hide something. H-he has been to the house already." Victorie felt herself shutter as she continued to whisper gently, "He thinks that we are his supporters, Rose. Do you not see the danger in doing this? He must know where we are, and if our house is under secret he will demand to knwo who the keeper is or kill us. Neither of you are on his side. We will be dead if he finds out or dead if we do not tell him who our keeper is."
Victorie looked down to her hands and tried to not cry. This was hard on her, but it had to be done. Victorie knew she had to do her best to protect them all. She hated that she was lying to everyone in her family but Rose. She looked up again and whispered, "Do me a favor, kay? Tell mom and dad that I love them. I know they won't believe you when they read in the paper that I married a Dark Wizard. I jsut want them to know." Victorie felt her own tears welling up as she continued, "This is the last I will see you. I cannot risk your lives anymore then I already have." Victorie wiped at her eyes and tried to stop crying.

Scorpius looked taken aback at the stranger hissed the words at him. But he sat down, beside Rose. He pulled the hood of his jacket up, so that it covered his face. He had, obviously, figured out that the hooded stranger was Professor Weasley. As she spoke, he hunched over in a way most un-Malfoy like. “But Professor, my grandfather has ties to the Dark side. Nobody will think anything of me helping you,” he whispered.
He wasn’t entirely sure if he should still be calling her ‘Professor’, but he didn’t know what else to call her. He didn’t know her well enough to call her by her given name. Maybe after her married Rose, he would. He looked at Rose and said, still in a low voice, “I agree with R. You need the protection.” Though the last thing Scorpius wanted was to put his girlfriend in danger, he knew her well enough not to argue. Women were strange creatures…just let them think they were right and everything flowed smoothly. Or at least that was his experience, he thought.

Rose glared at Victorie as she corrected her, and didn't see the real reason for it. "I don't care, I'll be like her aunt now won't I?" She rolled her eyes and leaned forward. Then an idea struck her. "V, think about this then. Have a safe house, a house that the Dark Lord doesn't know about. A place for you to go when you think you might be in danger. You wouldn't have to use it often, and the dark lord wouldn't even have to know about it. See how it works out?" Rose listened to what Scorpius said and smiled weakly. "Maybe, S...but wouldn't he start wanting things out of you too?" She didn't dare look at them, since it would give everyone a good look at her face. She would kill the dark lord herself if he started to take everyone she cared about away from her.
Rose nodded a few times, then leaned forward and hugged the hooded woman. "I'll tell them. I know they are grasping at anything to hold onto, it's the way they are. I just wish that...well that things were different." Rose hugged her tighter, and wasn't sure she would be able to let go. She sniffed a little, and her arms began to shake. She had told herself she wouldn't cry, even here with her identity a mystery. "I'll miss you, V." She whispered, wondering what her little 'second cousin's' life would be like. She knew what it could be like, without the war.

Victorie listned to them both and felt the worry in both their voices. Rose held onto Victiroe and all Victorie could think was how she wanted all of this to end. She wanted the war to be over and she wanted to move on. None of this was fair, and Victorie knew she needed a place to just get away from it all. Victorie wiped at her eyes and then she took a deep breath. She ran her hands over her arms as she spoke, "We cannot risk ither o your lives. I will speak with him about a place, but I will talk to him. We will see. I cannot risk anything in your lives."
Victorie let go of her cousin and watched her sit. She then looked t her as she spoke, "R, we are all grasping at all the strings that we have. I know they do not understand and that you can never tell. I know that nona of this was fair. My life has to be with him. I could not live without him, and I need to know that our child has life that is perfected. I know this isn't perfect, but we at least are together. This will be the last you see me till this is finsihed....if." Victorie gulped unable to finish her words. She didn't know hwo this would turn out. Sh and Teddy might end up like his parents.

Scorpius listened to Rose and nodded his agreement. “I concur, Professor. A place that the DL doesn’t know about would be ideal. I heard stories from Father about how the old DL was a Legilimens expert, though. I don’t know if this one is or not, so watch out.” His girlfriend spoke to him, showing a weak smile, and he gave a weak smile in return.
“I suppose he would. But it’s no big deal, really…I could be a spy. Father told me Professor Snape was a spy. Of course, look where it got him.” Scorpius kept his head covered by the hood of his hoodie, making sure no one could see his face. He gave a solemn nod to Professor Weasley, blinking back a few tears of his own.
This was so sad, Scorpius thought. “Until then, Professor.” This really bites, he thought. Damn Dark Lord and his causing my girl to cry, not to mention tearing apart families… In a way, he was grateful his family was into the Dark Arts. At least this way he wouldn't lose them because of their beliefs.
