Rose's eyes widened as she heard the time. One fifteen? It was really already the next day! Rose bit her lip as she thought about the late hour. It was worse than she had thought! Swallowing, Rose couldn't help but smile at Scorpius. "Tomorrow night then." She said, almost in a whisper. She kissed Scorpius on the lips, his pink lips just begging to be kissed from her angle. "I don't think we'll make it back...if only I could have confiscated the invisibility cloak and then we wouldn't have a problem now would we? Must simplier since with the invisibility charm there was always a change that a part of you would remain clear as crystal and not to be seen again.
Rose took Scorpius' hand and pulled him back down, smirking as she stood. Hands on her hips, she winked at him. "Well come on then." Rose said, walking swiftly to get her bag before returning to Scorpius. "Now, I am ready to be walked to my dormitory, Mister Malfoy." She said, still smirking. She loved her best friend, her man, her love, so much. He was everything to her. She understood the saying that to the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. Scorpius Malfoy was her world, and she was glad...no ecstatic to know that he had felt the same. Why had she been so stupid, not telling him sooner. It wasn't like she would have missed anything by telling him. Indeed, she might have missed some things by not telling him. Who knows how many dates they could have gone on, how much happiness they might have had.

Scorpius watched Rose's eyes widen. "It's pretty late, isn't it? I thought it was only, like, 11pm or something." He covered his mouth and yawned. He was beat. It had been a long day, and although he enjoyed every moment he spent with Rose, he had to go to bed. It usually took him a half-hour to fall asleep, and by then it'd be almost 2am. Breakfast was at 7:30, so he'd be running on 5 1/2 hours of sleep, if he was lucky.
He kissed Rose back on her reddened lips, which were slightly swollen from all they kissing they had been doing tonight. He couldn't help but smile at his lady...she was just so fun to be around. Scorpius shrugged. "We have to try. Otherwise everyone will know what we've been up to, and what if they check our dorms?" He let himself be pulled down, only to stand up again and grab his bag as Rose grabbed hers. He smirked and opened the door, looking around in the hallway before waiting for Rose to exit. "Come on then, Miss Weasley."

Rose looked out the door then scrambled through and looked around the next corner. No one was in sight. Rose stole a glance behind her to look at Scorpius. She smiled a bit, then moved around the corner and went down the rather long corridor. Her hand searched for Scorpius', not really having been out after hours when she wasn't supposed to be before. She had always been so busy before. Now, she had one of the best boyfriends and was out spending time with him. With the war going, she didn't want to waste any time she might have on studying for a future she wasn't promised.

Scorpius ran after Rose, his feet softly hitting the floor. As a Seeker, he was trained to move lightly. Tripping, he scrambled to his feet and hurried after her. The next corridor was pretty long, and his hand reached for Rose's as he kept up the pace easily. He turned the next corner, all but dragging her behind him, and stopped, looking around.
He didn't know where to go from here, having never been to the Head Girl's dorm before. As he waited for her, he prayed no ghosts would show up this night and ruin it for them. He had always been busy before asking Rose out, barely having time for his friends, what with being Head Boy, Seeker, and working part-time at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes during the holidays. Now, he had the best girlfriend n the world, and wasn't about to take anything for granted. Life was too short for that, especially with this war on.

Rose bit her lip as she heard a very soft thud behind her. She didn't dare move back, but because there had been no shout of discover, it had to be Scorpius. Pulling Scorpius with her, Rose started for the Head's Common room. From there they could go to their separate dormitories. Hearing footsteps, Rose pulled Scorpius with her into small closet. Rose tried to even her breathing, wondering if Scorpius could hear her heart pounding in her chest. Laying her head on Scorpius' shoulder, Rose wondered how long they would have to stay in closet and just who was out there at one thirty in the morning. It had to be a professor, or it might be another student who was out. Either way, she would feel terrible if she was caught by any one.

Scorpius let himself be pulled along until they reached a closet just outside the Head's Common Room. He followed her into the closet as he heard footsteps. His heart was racing, and he could hear Rose's heart pounding in her chest. To him, it sounded as loud as an explosion going off. He wondered if she could hear his heart racing, because it was zooming along at a right steady rate.
He attempted to even his breathing, and after a few minutes succeeded in getting it under control. Scorpius staying in the closet with Rose for what felt like an eternity, but in reality was only five minutes. He knew, because he checked his watch. As the footsteps fell away, he carefully cracked the door and looked around. No one was in sight, so he pulled Rose along until they reached the Head's Common Room.
Opening the door, he pushed her through and carefully shut it, breathing hard. They were safe. He gave a grin and said, "Whew, that was close. Too close." He looked around. The fire had died down to mere embers now, and the room was mostly dark. Scorpius lit his wand and started up the steps, heading to the left, since his dormitory was on the right.

Rose bit her lip as she waited in the closet with Scorpius. His heart was racing, and she could tell because to make more space in the closet she had wrapped her arms around Scorpius and to try and calm herself she laid her head on his shoulder. When finally they could leave, Rose gripped his hand a bit tight. She tried to make her footsteps light, so they would make less noise when they walked the halls. She had always wondered how James had done it and one night he was bragging about not getting caught and gave away a bit of his secret. He may have been intoxicated at the time, but Rose hadn't been concerned much. It was James, after all.
Rose' heart finally stopped beating so hard and she was finally could breathe a sigh a relief as they entered the Head's Common Room. She walked with Scorpius to her dorm and almost looked disappointed when they finally reached it. She didn't want to go to bed, she didn't want to stop spending time with Scorpius. Rose slowed and put Scorpius' arms around her waist. After placing Scorpius' hands where she wanted them, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close. "Sweet dreams." She whispered, looking into his gray eyes. She could get lost in his eyes, the gray orbs that could hold a great amount of care and love. She knew it.

As they reached the Head's common room, Scorpius sighed. His time with Rose was almost over, until he could see her again. Granted, since they were the Heads, they got thrown together a lot, and therefore spent a lot of time together. But never any personal time--it was always work or school-related. It was well-known, however, that the Heads usually ended up dating, even if for only for a brief period of time. Really though, it was the only time one normally saw the House barriers breached.
But with her in Gryffindor and him in Slytherin, they couldn't even spend their nights together, just hanging out in the common room as they could if they were the same House. Well, they could, they had their own, but rarely did they have time to use it. Maybe it was for the best, though. After all, his father Draco would have a fit if he was in Gryffindor, and he was sure the Weasleys wouldn't have been exactly thrilled if she was in Slytherin. Unlike his family, though, Rose had hers to back her no matter what she did. Sometimes Scorpius envied that.
As they reached her dorm, Rose took his arms and put them around her waist, jarring him out of his thoughts. As she did so, her own arms snaked around his neck until they were clasped together behind his head. As she looked into his eyes and spoke, he looked back into those blue orbs and smiled lovingly. "Sweet dreams, my princess." Then he squeezed her tight and gave her a good-night kiss before letting go and walking across the hall to his own dorm.
The door had each House crest carved into it, all next to each other. To get in, one simply placed their hand on their House crest and speak the password, which they chose. This was so even though the Head Boy and Girl could invite people to their common room if they wanted to, nobody could get into their rooms. The magic of the door recognized which House you were in anyways, and if you pressed the wrong crest, even with the password, the door would not open.
Scorpius knew, he'd experimented by pressing the Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor crests individually and speaking the password. Nothing. So with that in mind, he pressed the Slytherin crest and said, "Rose." The door swung open, and he entered the room before closing the door behind him. Pointing his wand at the door, he said, "Colloportus." The door locked itself. Placing his wand on the nightstand, he took off all his clothes and crawled into his four-poster bed. Closing the green hangings around him, he smiled to himself and closed his eyes. He would dream of Rose tonight.
((OK, I just went on a bit of a rant. Sorry. ))

Rose watched Scorpius leave, her eyes following him until he could be followed by her eyes no longer. Not unless she wanted to follow him, and that simply wouldn't do. It was late enough, and she wouldn't be getting as much sleep already as she already would be. Even as her mind said no, her body cried out yes. Pushing down impulse, Rose pressed the gryffindor crest on her own door and whispered her own password. She could imagine Scorpius doing the very same thing, but it was just her imagination. If only that was something you could do in the magical world. Through your sight into a complete other direction, seeing things that are far away without giving yourself away. A bit like the muggle people who can throw their voices around. Wouldn't that be something.
"A dream untouched is like a spell unlearned." Hearing the familiar click of the lock, Rose slowly walked through the doorway and shut the door quietly behind her. Eyes closing, she leaned against the door and sighed. She hated leaving Scorpius' side, having him near her made her feel more intelligent, and even beautiful. There was a dull ache in her chest, even though she already knew she would be seeing him in the morning. Her hand twitched to open the handle and go to Scorpius' door and knock. Why did time seem to simply fly when she was with him?
Moving away from the door, Rose opened her eyes and walked over to her dressing. Slipping out of her clothes and into her pajama's, a pair of fake velvet pants and an old T-shirt, Rose pulled her rats nest of hair back into a pony tail like she did every night before she went to bed. Next, she went and brushed her teeth, using the mouthwash she had bought at her last trip to the grocery store before coming to Hogwarts. Gargling it, she almost chocked on the liquid as it tried to slid down her throat. Spitting it out rather violently, Rose glared at the offending wash and spit out a bit more of remaining wash from her mouth.
Rinsing the sink out, Rose proceeded to her bed. Ever the perfectionist, Rose carefully folded the top of the covers down before sliding in. Rose concentrated on clearing her mind, the mind that tended to race with new ideas and concepts now that she was relaxed and not busy with the different activities of the day. Once she pushed back her academic thoughts, Rose was rather reluctant to stop thinking about Scorpius. About the way he tasted, the way he felt when she touched him, the way she felt when she was with him. Smiling, Rose rolled onto her side and closed her eyes, content to think on Scorpius as her mind slowly slipped into unconsciousness.
