Teddy felt Vikki snuggling into him and smiled as well. She felt so right there, like she belonged. And she did. It was pure and and simple. As Victorie sobbed, horror crossed his face. He hadn't thought of that. Any of it--the leave, the future, nothing. He had been so wrapped up in the here and now that he'd completely forgotten about everything else.
He shook his head violently. "No! This is our child, and by Merlin we're going to be fit parents! I refuse to leave this baby hanging the way my my parents did me. Besides, Metamorphagism is a dominant trait, and there aren't that many of us. If we give it away, who will teach the baby to control that when it gets older? And that's fine...they need to know. But the rest of the Weasleys aren't the best secret keepers, though." His face crumpled as she said her next words. "A rape?" he whispered. Dear gods, this was worst than he had feared. Teddy simply didn't know if he was that good an actor.

Victorie was stenned, but happy he'd not wanted to give up their child. She let him continue and then sighed a bit as she spoke, "It is like you said Metamorphasism is a dominate trait and there are not that many of you. What other choice do we have, Teddy?" Victorie looked to her hands. She was really scared. So much could go wrong with this plan. She squeeked a bit as she continued, "Once he finds out you raped me he will want you to marry me. he will want you to try to convert me, and he will want to know every little detail about me, Teddy. This baby is in danger."
Victorie wasn't thinking about her own dangers. She sighed as she slammed her hands on the wall and then leaned her head on it. She knew that this wasn't a good idea. They were going to try to live a happy little life, but they couldn't.

Teddy shook his head sadly. "None, I suppose." He looked down. He had faced Death Eaters and Order members alike, and only come off a little worse for the wear by those on both sides who didn't trust him, but he'd never faced anything like this. What Victorie was saying would turn the Weasleys against him forever, and they would hate him, maybe even try to kill him, for daring to be with their daughter.
He wiped tears away from his eyes. He would not cry. He wouldn't. So much was happening, and though Teddy was happy he could give Victorie a piece of him to live on in case he died (which was a very real possibility), he was heartsick that he wouldn't be able to claim this child as his. And if he did, he'd have the Ministry at his door, ready to arrest him.
Teddy looked up again and spoke with a shakiness to his voice. "I don't know, Vikki. I just don't know if I'm that good an actor. But if it becomes the case, you must pretend to be converted. You'll have to be a spy, like me. We'll let the Order know ahead of time...oh wait, we can't, not without giving it away. They will think you a traitor and most likely try to kill you. Do you understand what I'm saying, Victorie?"
His lip trembled and he looked to his fiance. "Are you ready to do what must be done? Then take my hand, and step into my world with me. We will be fugitives, never resting, always on the run. That poor baby..." Teddy made a fist and socked his other hand in rage. This was a horrible idea, but what choice did they have, really?

Vic heard his words, and saw his tears. This was all too much for her. She looked up as she spoke, "We can still tell them that I have become a spy and you have to. That way they will be able to protect us the best that they can if a fight breaks out. Plus, then we don't have to lie to Uncle Harry and My mum and dad and grandparents. I am sick of lying to everyone that I love you, Teddy. I know that being a spy won't be easy, but I know I can do it." She gulped and then spoke once more, "I just do not want them to get ahold of our child. To take it away from us."
Victorie heard his final words and she slipped her hand into his. She held it gently as she whispered, "A rough world with you is better then the perfect world without you." She looked up and gave him a sad smile. She laid her hand on her tummy and asked, "How do we play this off? Will it be that you raped me, tortured me, and are forcing me to change or that we fell in love and I willingly decided to switch?"

Teddy nodded. "That's true. But we will let them know that the Dark Lord thinks you are true only to him. See, he knows I'm a spy, but he thinks I'm spying on the Order for him. But as you know, it's really the other way around. That's why you never see me fight...because he thinks the Order thinks that I'm working for them, and it would blow my cover to been seen in battle siding with one side or the other."
Teddy rubbed his temples. Explaining this always gave him a headache. "He will question two supposed 'spies' on the Order, though. So you must pretend to be a full-fledged Death Eater. Do realize what this means, Vikki? It means the Order won't be able to protect you. They will only know you're not a traitor, and not to kill you on sight. You will have to make a show of attacking your fellow Order members, and master the Unforgivables."
He took a breath before continuing. "The Dark Lord makes everyone learn the Unforgivable Curses, and then practice them on captured Muggles until they go insane. Then you have to kill them, and burn the body to ashes." This would be devastating news for her, Teddy knew. She was an innocent, caught up in this war, as were they all.
Well, not me, Teddy thought. I've killed too many, even in the name of war, to be innocent. Even if they were Death Eaters. She had never taken a life before, he was sure. But Vikki would have to start now. Kill or be killed. "I am sick of it too. But how are you going to explain that you're in love with a spy, a well-established Death Eater? None of them, save for Uncle Harry, Uncle Ron, Aunt Ginny, and Aunt Hermione are the best at keeping their mouths shut. And that's only because they fought in the first war."
He sighed. "You tell them we're in love and the whole Weasley clan will be calling me right, left, and sideways, asking favors, just wanting to talk, or such. I can't afford that. He'll kill me." Teddy didn't have to say who. "Slowly and painfully. That's not on my top ten list of ways to go. In fact, it's not even on there." He laid a hand on her tummy. "I don't want them to take our child either. And they won't so long as I draw breath. As to your pregnancy--well, the practical thing to do would to be to do the rape thing. But you'd hardly stay with me if that was the case--you'd be trying to escape at every turn. Plus, the rest of the Order would never buy it. So, I think it'll be that we fell in love." He smiled at his soon-to-be bride.

Victorie nodded at his first words in a very understanding way. She looked up and then blinked a few times. She knew that was why he never fought. She'd had this discussion with him before. She knew that the Dark Lord tried to protect him because he was on their side. She gulped a bit as she spoke, "I know, Teddy. That is what scares me. He will expect me to fight, but you won't be there to protect me." Why was Victorie so dependant on him? She never depended on people like this. She was a free spirit.
Victorie gasped as she was told exactly what she would have to do. She knew he was cruel and she knew it would be bad, but torture and death? She wasn't sure she could do it. She looked to the floor, so he couldn't see the tears welling in her eyes, and then she spoke, "Teddy, I don't know if I can do this. Maybe it is better if I fake my death and all think I am gone. I can stay holed up in this house...not go anywhere. I can take care of our child."
All of this was a big deal to Victorie. It was not only giving up her life and becoming a killer, but it was also giving up ties with most of her family. She sniffled, wiped at her eyes, that were now crying, and asked, "Not even Mum and Dad?" She may argue with her mom and she might not like her all the time, but there was no way she couldn't tell them. They would disown her and she'd be left all alone except for Teddy. While he was a bit part of her life, she couldn't go without her Mum and especially without her Dad. He would be so disappointed in her.
Victorie blinked and looked down to his hand as it laid on her tummy. She took a slow breath in and nodded. He was right, her family would make a mess of this. She coudn't tell them. Victorie sniffled again and wiped at her eyes. She took hsi hand in hers, tears still falling form her eyes, as she spoke, "We did fall in love." She gave a half laugh and then looked down to their hands.

Teddy sighed, his breath shuddery. He was doing his best to hold back tears, but it wasn't working out too well. The thought of Victorie, his precious Vikki, fighting and serving the Dark Lord--even against her will--was wrecking havoc on his emotional state. Why was he so concerned for her? It was simple.
He loved her, and they had grown up together. They looked out for one another, told lies to each other's parents to cover for the other. In short, this new-found love had really been there since they were at Hogwarts together. It was just neither of them had really known it. Teddy nodded slowly. "Perhaps. That actually might be the best thing to do. On the other hand, I do know he favors torturing the scum of Muggle society--child killers, rapists, and so on. So maybe it won't be that bad."
He paused for a minute before delivering the zinger. "You'll get used to it in time. I did, and I take great pleasure in it. Those types of people deserve what they get. Look at me." Teddy's eyes locked on hers, but they were cold and flat, with no warmth to them at all. They were his Death Eater eyes, and his face wore a cruel smirk that promised pain and torture. He looked like the type of man who would kill you slowly and enjoy every moment of it. It was the mask he wore whenever around the Dark Lord, doing his bit for the Order and pretending to enjoy killing just for the hell of it.
Teddy took a deep breath, and focused on Vikki. He blinked a few times, and the cruel mask slipped away, letting a frown take its place. Warmth flooded back into his eyes, and he steadied his voice. "Do you see? Do you see what I've become, what I must do? I don't wish that on you, Victorie. Ever. Or our child." He shook his head. "Can they keep a secret? I know your dad can, but can your mum?"
He didn't interact with Mrs. Fleur Weasley much, having usually been around Mr. Bill Weasley instead. "If they can, then go ahead. But only them. The less people that know, the better. We tell a lot a of people and I might as well just go tell the Dark Lord myself." Teddy looked to their hands and managed a smile. He was getting married, after all, and that was a good thing. Right?

Victorie shuttered a bit as she spoke, Till he asks me to use it on those who are not evil and are not bad. Even then..I am not sure I can kill a Muggle, or anyone, I jsut... Teddy this is me." He stared at her that cold stare and it scared her more than anything else she'd ever seen from him. She took a step back and then she closed her eyes, not wanting to see him or the way he was acting. Victorie closed her eyes tightly and shook her head. She did not want to see him like that. She couldn't act like that.
Victorie felt tears forming in her eyes and when he spoke agai she looked to him. She blinked a few times and then she shook her head. She took a deep breath as she spoke, "Teddy, I can't do this. I am going to tell mom and dad that I am faking my death. I am going to transfer the money into your account, and then I am going to die. You can purchase this place and I will just live here." She took a deep breath and then felt tears forming in her eyes as she spoke, "I would rather be here stuuck in this house all day and night rather then him kill me because I mess up. I can't do this Teddy."
She felt her knees go weak and she fell to the floor. She coverred her face and sobbed gently. She couldn't do this. All of this was so unfair. She loved her child, but right now was not the time for him or her to come.

Teddy sighed, and it had a shuddery sound to it, like a man who was either about to cry or had just finished crying. He listened to Victorie's word's and nodded solemnly. "It's a risk you'll have to take if you to pretend to have crossed over to the Dark side, since a true Dark wizard would have no problem torturing and killing. They would even take pleasure from it."
He noticed Victorie backing away from him, and quickly realized that his thoughts and feelings must have shown on his face. Teddy smiled weakly and replied, "Oh no, Vikki, not you. I'll never be this way around you. That was--it--well, that's how I am around the Death Eaters," he finished. He took a step towards her and wrapped his arms around her.
Teddy closed his eyes briefly and nodded gravely. It was for the best. He couldn't see Vikki, his precious Vikki, become soulless and lost, the way he was partly already. Opening them, tears formed in his eyes and he held her tight. "OK. Do what you must. But always know that I'm here for you." He just hoped her parents could keep a secret. Otherwise, they were all dead.

Vic heard his words and nodded as she spoke, "I know and that is why I cannot do this. I cannot become a death eater. I never could enjoy the pain of someone else." She noticed his reaction change and him telling her that it was not meant for her. She didn't care. If he showed that around them, then if she became one...would his mind confuse reality with distortion. Would he always think her as one of them? She looked to him as he wrapped his arms around her. She then leaned into him as she whispered, "I love you, Teddy. I love you, but I cannot do that."
Victorie nodded as she spoke, "I know, Teddy. I know you will be here for me if I need you. That means I will have to pretend dead and I will have to give you the money to buy this house in your name. I just hope that the dark lord doesn't ask for you to share your home with him."

Teddy ran a hand through his hair once more and sighed. Damn. This wasn’t going the way he’d planned this at all. Not that he wanted his precious Vikki to become a Death Eater, but at least if she did and the Dark Lord popped in unexpectedly, he wouldn’t be surprised to see her there. If he knew she was a DE, or at a DE supporter, he’d leave her alone.
He spoke once more. “Alright, alright. There’s a third option. You don’t have to become a Death Eater, but you do have to make it clear if he ever stops by that you’re a supporter of his. Because I know Lucius Malfoy, and I know the Dark Lord leaves his wife Narcissa in peace even though she’s not a DE. We were talking once before, before a meeting, and he said the Dark Lord only allows it because she’s a DE supporter.” Teddy closed his eyes briefly before opening them again.
“If it came down to it, could you do a bit of Dark magic and fake like you’re a supporter? Supporters don’t have to attend meetings or anything, but if he stops by, he’ll probably want to see you do the Unforgivables on a dog or something.” Teddy was not happy with this idea at all, but if it kept her alive, he would do what he had to do. At any cost.
Pretending to be dead simply wouldn’t work too well—others had tried that, and really ended up dead. He mentioned this last bit to Vikki, in the hopes that he could change her mind. “I love you too, Vic. However, if you’re pretending to be dead, and he comes by and sees you here, what do you think he’d do to us?” Teddy inquired.

Victorie ran her hands through her half pink half blonde hair and she looked to her finacee. She smiled a bit as she heard his words and grabbed him tightly in a hug as she spoke, "Teddy, you are a freaking genius! We can get amrried then without hiding it. We jsut have to convince everyone that I have turned. Leaving Hogwarts to reff or even play again or coach would be a wonderful way to start that." She smaked her lips against his deeply and then she pulled away. Teddy had been amazing. he was able to think the answers for everything.
Victorie laughed as she hugged him to her even tighter. She could do this and she could do that for him and for their life together. They just had to convince everyone. The dark lord would want a Weasley on his side even as just a supporter. This was great and this would work. Victorie pulled out of the deep kiss she'd jsut had with her fiance she then ran a hand over the back of her neck. She looked into his eyes and spoke, "This is perfect, Teddy."

Teddy felt Vikki grab him in a hug and smiled. He had been hoping she’d take to his solution, otherwise there really was no choice but for her to play dead. And that just opened up a whole other can of worms that he really didn’t want to deal with right now. Indeed, or ever.
Kissing her deeply, he ran a hand through first his hair, then hers, enjoying the soft silkiness of it. He responded, “You will just have to inform the Order of our plan, so if they’re at the house and he should come knocking, they won’t blow your cover.” Though the thought of not seeing Victorie, his precious Victorie, every day at Hogwarts sent a pang of pain through him, Teddy knew he would come home to her every night. He squeezed her tight and grinned. “Not a genius, just an optimist.” He looked into her eyes and kissed her again. “This will be great.”

Victorie ran her hands over her baby bump when he'd finished holding her so tightly and then she looked to him as she whispered, "We are going to be a family. A real family." She smiled as she looked to him and then leaned up and kissed his lips gently. She felt tears of happiness clouding her eyes as she looked to him happier then ever before. She then smied as she spoke, "I will talk with the Order as soon as I can." She smiled as she felt a fear, but a happiness over whelming it. She then looked at Teddy as she whispered, "Let's go buy this house and start furnishing it. I'm excited to paint and move in and get this all ready for us and our little girl." She looked up a bit red and asked, "I didn't tell you that part yet, did I?" She flushed a bit and then smiled as she continued, "We're having a little girl Teddy."

Teddy grinned. He couldn’t believe it. Finally, a chance to be a real family with the woman he loved. A real family…He had been waiting for this for so long, it almost didn’t seem real to him. But it was, and that was great. Aside from the whole Dark Lord thing, everything was coming up Teddy!
He kissed his soon-to-be bride gently and nodded. They both needed to speak to the Order, actually. The sooner the better, in his book. But it could wait, for now. He took Victorie’s hand and squeezed it for luck, then went for the front door. But Vikki’s next words stopped him cold. “A…I…you…when did you find out?” He almost fainted, but managed not to. “This is great!”
